General

• Despite appearing in the loading screen of the first Jade Path chapter event, he is one of the two heroes who were banned in Survival Mode, along with Yi Sun-shin, due to their Ultimate skills.
• The name Aldous is a boy's name of English origin meaning "old". Aldous has long been associated with British writer Huxley, author of Brave New World.

Gameplay

• Aldous' ultimate one of the only global skills in the game.
  • The only other skills with universal/global range (covering anywhere on the map) are Moskov's Spear of Destruction, Johnson's Rapid Touchdown, Helcurt's Dark Night Falls, Yi Sun-shin's Mountain Shocker, Angela's Heartguard, Floryn's Bloom and Xavier's Dawning Light..
• Zilong's Spear Strike and Argus' Demonic Grip are the only skills in the game that can catch up to Aldous during his ultimate.
• Aldous is one of the two heroes who can increase the damage of his skill permanently with a stacking mechanic. The only other hero is Cecilion.
  • Old Chang'e also had a stacking mechanic, but it was removed when she received a revamp.

Development

• While still in development Aldous' first given name and hero title was Armstrong, Gravekeeper. It was then changed to Aulrad, Contractor, and from Patch 1.2.78 it was changed to Aldous.
  • A developer showed an early picture of Aldous without his mask (or half-masked), which revealed with his half corrupted and half normal face. Now his mask always covers his whole face.

Skins

• Aldous' complimentary skin 'Red Mantle refers to his old-self, without his damaged body.
• Aldous is one of the heroes in the game to receive an official tournament special skin: King of Supremacy ( 2019 Special).
  • The other heroes to receive an official tournament special skin are Rafaela (MPL: Biomedic), Nana (MPL: Wind Fairy), Jawhead (MSC 2018: Space Explorer), Leomord (MSC 2019: Triumph: Eagle), Clint (M2: Shadow Omen) and Claude (MSC 2021: Earth's Mightiest).
• He is one of the members of the Blazing Bounties Squad alongside Layla, Franco, Esmeralda, and Claude.
