• Chastise Pauldron is the best defense item to counter heroes with high attack speed to reduce their damage output.
• Its first unique passive - "Chastise" not only reduces enemy heroes' attack speed, but also their attack speed cap, which makes it more effective against heroes with high attack speed.
• This item is also effective at tanking damage and helps its users survive turret shots, thanks to its second unique passive - "Redemption"".

Item Combinations

• It is best paired with  Blade Armor and  Dominance Ice to get a substantial amount of physical defense to greatly counter physical heroes who rely on their  Basic Attacks.
  • You can also equip  Antique Cuirass to your build to get more physical defense while possessing a powerful physical damage reduction effect to counter physical heroes that rely on their skills.
• It is also recommended to pair it with magic defense items such as  Athena's Shield and  Radiant Armor to counter every type of damage (except True Damage).
• It is also recommended to pair it with  Oracle and  Guardian Helmet to obtain a substantial amount of HP regen effects, allowing you to sustain in the teamfight.
  • You can also equip  Queen's Wings, which gives you a greater chance to counterattack when your HP is low, thanks to its two passives from Queen's Wings, namely "Demonize" and "Defiance".
  • You can also use Revitalize to increase the amount of HP regen effects even more.
