Prince of the Moniyan Empire, raised by Alice and Thamuz after being kidnapped. He won a duel witnessed by Thamuz. After the conflict between Light and Dark, the Son of Darkness was about to represent the lord of the Abyss and lead the Abyssal Army to the [battlefront].

Lore

Twelve years ago, a prince was born in the Moniyan Empire. He was a symbol of salvation and justice for his people. It was believed that he would lead the Moniyan Empire in unifying the Land of Dawn. The Empire Nobles gave everything to the prince.

On the day of prince's first birthday[,] he was found dead in his baby bed blanketed in blood. The room was covered with claw marks and the guards in charge of protecting the prince were also found dead. Sorrow engulfed the whole Moniyan Empire. The hope of the Empire had fallen and, to this day, there has never been such an inspiring prince. Some people believed the prince was killed by the Demons, while others still hoped the Prince was alive. The Empire Nobles appointed the Imperial Knights and the Monastery of Light to find out the truth. At the same time, the Son of Darkness was "born" too…

After several years, something strange appeared in the Southern Hills of the Moniyan Empire. In the deepest part of the Abyss, Thamuz, the Lord Lava, watched a special battle. In this glorious battle, the monsters fought with each other until the strongest emerged. He not only possessed the best Evil Gene but also proved to be the strongest fighter in the Demons.

Alice embraced the beloved fighter and recalled the "Royal Plan" that she had carried out. He was a masterpiece for her. He mastered Alice's trick, deception, and military strategy. He also learned combat from Thamuz. Now, the Son of Darkness is a capable assistant for the Abyss. He will represent the Lord of the Abyss, fighting against the Moniyan Empire, implementing the "Dawn Plan", and destroying the "Shining Spark" of the Empire.

Passive

Wrath of the Abyss Buff Heal When Dyrroth's Rage reaches 50%, he will enhance Burst Strike and Spectre Step. After each 2 Basic Attacks, Dyrroth will release Circle Strike, dealing (+160% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies in the circle and regenerating [50 + 40% of the damage dealt HP] (Circle Strike doesn't have ATK Effect). Each time he hits an enemy hero, the CD of Burst Strike and Spectre Step will be decreased by 1 second. Skill terms Physical Skill Deal Physical DMG to enemies. Triggers Spell Vamp. Regen Effect Attribute that affects the actual HP Regen and Shield. The default ratio is 100%. Actual HP Regen/Shield = Original HP Regen/Shield × (100% + All Regen Effects Increase% - All Regen Effects Decrease%). CD The time needed for casting the skill one more time, which can be affected by CD Reduction (unless otherwise stated).

Icon variants Notes Circle Strike can critically strike and benefits from Physical Lifesteal. It counts as a skill and can benefit from skill effects. Circle Strike HP regeneration is halved against minions. Circle Strike deals same damage as regular basic attack against turrets.

Skill 1

Burst Strike AOE Slow Dyrroth releases a burst strike in a designated direction. Each burst deals 200–450 (+60% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies and slows them by 25% for 1.5 seconds. (The damage decays against the same target and decreases to only 75% on minions.) Abyss Enhanced: Burst Strike has a longer range, deals 140% of the original damage, and its slow effect is doubled. Skill terms Physical Skill Deal Physical DMG to enemies. Triggers Spell Vamp. Movement Speed Movement Speed on the battlefield. Usually Calculated and Actual Movement Speed is equal. But when Movement Speed is below 230 or over 420 both Slowdown and Speedup Effect will decay. Calculated Movement Speed = Basic Movement Speed × (100% + All Speedup Effect% - All Slowdown Effect%).

Skill 2

Spectre Step Mobility Damage Dyrroth dashes in the designated direction. He will stop when he hits a [non-minion] target, dealing 230–355 (+60% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage to enemies. When he uses this skill again, he will lock onto a [non-minion] target and release a Fatal Strike, dealing [a total of] 345–570 (+120% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage and reducing the target's Physical Defense by 40% for 4 seconds. Abyss Enhanced: Fatal Strike will deal 150% of the original damage, slow the target by an extra 90% [for 1 second] and reduce the target's Physical Defense by 60% [instead] for 4 seconds. Skill terms Blink Movement ability that can pass through obstacles. Extra Physical ATK Apart from basic and level Physical ATK, also include the ATK provided by items, emblems, and skills. Physical Defense Deduction of Physical Damage taken. Physical Defense will be affected by the enemy’s Physical PEN but not lower than 0. Actual Physical Damage taken = Physical Damage dealt by enemy 120/(120 + Physical Defense). Physical Defense will be affected by the enemy's Physical PEN, but will not be lower than -60.

Bumping into an enemy hero with phase 1 of this skill applies mini knockback effect. Phase 2 of this skill deals damage for 3 times, each dealing 115 / 130 / 145 / 160 / 175 / 190 (+40% Extra Physical Attack) Physical Damage. The skill goes into cooldown on the first cast. Fatal Strike cannot target minions and, oddly, the summoned Lord.

Ultimate

Abysm Strike Burst Slow After a short delay, Dyrroth launches a destrucive strike in the target direction (cannot be interrupted), dealing 650–1250 (+250% Extra Physical Attack) (+enemies' 20% Lost HP) Physical Damage to enemies along the way and slowing them by 55% for 0.8 seconds. Skill terms Lost HP Lost HP = Max HP - Current HP. Blink Movement ability that can pass through obstacles. Movement Speed Movement Speed on the battlefield. Usually Calculated and Actual Movement Speed is equal. But when Movement Speed is below 230 or over 420 both Slowdown and Speedup Effect will decay. Calculated Movement Speed = Basic Movement Speed × (100% + All Speedup Effect% - All Slowdown Effect%).

• Dyrroth's English voice actor, Joe Goffeney, reprises his role as late as February 2023 for providing exclusive voices of Dyrroth's Collector skin, making him the longest recurring voice actor of a single character for almost five years.
• Dyrroth is one of the only heroes in the game to have a Siblings buff shared with a specific opposing hero.
  • According to a Facebook post by MLBB, Dyrroth conquered and defeated Balmond and the orcs. Balmond surrendered to him, causing Balmond to fall to Dyrroth’s power. Balmond and the orcs have been dominated, tormented and tyrannized by Dyrroth.

Development

• Dyrroth was named Dyrus, then Darius when he was first released in the Advanced Server.
• His entrance voice was changed before it was released in the Original Server.
• His 2nd skill Spectre Step, previously could knock up enemy, but it was changed to Physical Defense Reduction.
• His Ultimate was called Destruction Rush before being changed to Abysm Strike. Likely because the name was already used for Layla's Ultimate.
