- The Golden Staff is a great item to help improve
basic attack effects, heroes that rely on their passive stacks will be able to complete their stacks faster, including those who passive have extra basic attack effects will be able to further increase their effects. - This item is perfect as one of the core items for high attack speed heroes to increase their attack speed when triggering attack effects more frequently.
- Since its attributes are relatively plain and nothing special, it is recommended to buy it in the midgame.
Item Combinations[]
- It is best paired with Corrosion Scythe and Demon Hunter Sword to increase attack speed, slow down, and unleash powerful damage to the enemy while recovering HP at the same time.
- It is also best paired with Feather of Heaven to increase attack speed when unleashing powerful damage to your opponents.
- If a hero with attack effect like Aulus equipped both War Axe and Golden Staff, the True Damage can be triggered multiple times by Golden Staff's second passive - "Endless Strike".
- It is also recommended to pair it with Inspire to increase the attack speed to maximize the damage output.

Attack Speed Reduction Effects[]
The biggest advantage of Golden Staff lies in its ability to significantly boost attack speed and attack speed cap, thanks to its second unique passive skill – "Endless Strike". To counter this advantage, it is recommended to use heroes or buy items that possess attack speed reduction effects. However, keep in mind that it has a limit; it can't reduce the attack speed by 100%:

Notes[]
- Corrosion Scythe, Demon Hunter Sword and Feather of Heaven will have their unique Passives triggered 2 extra times, while Corrosion Scythe max stacks will be reached much faster. This also affects the stacks of opponents that wear Warrior Boots.
- Basic attacks with guaranteed critical strikes are not affected by "Swift".
- Basic attacks with guaranteed critical strikes (see Critical strike § Guaranteed critical strikes) will reset the stack of "Endless Strike".
- Known bug: Some attacks doesn't correctly increase the stack to trigger the passive, the stacks will be stuck on 2 and the attack will just refresh the duration instead of activating the passive. This can be seen when used on Esmeralda, Silvanna, Kimmy, and Natan. Silvanna's Spiral Strangling doesn't benefit from "Endless Strike" despite being counted as Basic Attack. Kimmy and Natan able to trigger the effect multiple times at the same time.
