Lore[]
Originally named Los Pecados, it is located in the edge of Agelta Drylands. After the collapse of the old Moniyan Empire, it became a land of no rulers. A group of homeless and stranded soldiers occupied it and opened up a disorderly black market. The entrances and exits of Los Pecados have huge cargo in and out every day. In addition to the various smuggled illicit goods, there are many other unique desert specialties.
Civilization[]
The residents of Los Pecados can be divided into five main types. The most numerous and the earliest group of residents are descendants of the army of the old Moniyan Empire. They thrived in the city and became “Sand Hunters” or ordinary citizens. There is difference between these two.
The sand hunter specialize in looting passing caravans on the Emerald Road, and they also hunt some incredible strong and powerful desert monsters. These monsters have treasures all over their bodies that are extremely valuable. The sand hunters have become the main force in the city. However, because each of them belongs to different groups, they often fall into internal battles.
The other half are the honest, innocent people who have lived here for generations. They have also tasted the profit of the rising black market, and so prefer to live a life of danger rather than leave their hometown and move to the safer place.
The other are smugglers, the soul of Los Pecados. Because of their existence, this city of sins is full of life and became more prosperous. Due to there being a lack of strong authority, there is no risk associated with buying or selling anything in this place. This has attracted almost all the smugglers in the Land of Dawn to gather and play the market.
The fourth type of inhabitants are the businessmen who came here after the rise of Los Pecados. They felt frustrated living in their hometowns and wish to make a fortune here. Some choose to do petty business in the city, such as running taverns, casinos, or selling other necessities. Some use the city as a place to buy treasures from smugglers and they sell it back home.
The last types are the most special one. They are fugitives from various places around the Land of Dawn who have come to Los Pecados in order to escape their punishments. This land of no owners is suitable for these people to remain their liberty and make living through illegal means.
Despite all of that, all forces and classes in the city can coexist peacefully. However, if conflict arise, merchants and common people often choose swallow their anger, while the outlaws and smugglers will get into fights if they don’t agree with one another. Still, disputes between sand hunting groups have the potential to turn into huge catastrophe.
Due to the mixture of various groups and civilizations, coupled with trade exchanges, peoples wearing clothes and finery of various civilizations and different periods since a long time ago.
Sand Hunter[]
The sand hunting groups are tightly organized. They gather in groups and have a variety of unique transportation tools and weapons. Not only engaged in plunder activities, they also hunt down and kill giant monsters in the desert. The profits from rare giant beasts are much higher than even those from caravans’ full of goods. However, the profits also come with risks. These monsters are not just enormous, most of them have cruel temperaments and various terrifying abilities.
In order to deal with these ferocious creatures, the sand hunters developed a variety of precision tools, which can be used to kill the monsters and set them in the traps. Each of them can be used to kill or capture a unique beast. Many exquisite tools came from advanced skills possessed by certain sand hunters or sand hunting groups. For the hunters, experienced and fearless spearmen are the most popular positions.
