The main foundation for all magic defense items. As the third most cheapest item, Magic Resist Cloak is specifically meant to be spammed in the wearer's inventory, although 2 or 3 pieces will always do the job.
Despite being a Tier 1 item, Magic Resist Cloak is very important in the early game for its ability to prevent the wearer from losing too much health due to heavy Magic Damage taken usually in a quick burst from opposing 
Mages and Magic 
Assassins.
Another reason to wear 2 or more Magic Resist Cloak is when facing enemies like 
Eudora, 
Silvanna, and 
Harley who can passively reduce their target's Magic Defense usually by 10 points or more in the early game, this is makes their following attacks more deadly as all Heroes only have the base 15 Magic Defense at hero level 1 which slowly reaches up to 30 - 40 Magic Defense at the max hero level of 15.
Whenever possible, using one of the existing Magic Resist Cloak into building a 
Tough Boots is always recommended, as Resilience will always prove to be useful against Mages and their different types of CC effects.
