Lore

Many different fighting techniques and philosophies have been handed down from generation to generation by the various sects of the Cadia Riverlands, existing in perfect harmony, and the Ninja sect is the most famous of them all. The founder of this sect was the first disciple of the Great Dragon. After studying under the Great Dragon for many years, and attaining a divine level of self-understanding, he created the Ninja sect. The Ninjas possess excellent endurance and tenacity. Through constant and intense training, they learn to endure the most extreme pain and suffering, breaking through the limits of their physical bodies, and are able to fly over rooftops and walls to assassinate their enemies like invisible ghosts.

After the founder of this sect passed away, his disciples pushed forth the development of Ninjutsu and the way of the Ninja, establishing the Scarlet Shadow Ninja sanctuary in the north of the Cadia Riverlands. This village, hidden in the face of a remote mountain, is filled with Ninja temples and shrines dedicated to the great ninjas of past ages, where new generations can inherit the skills and traditions of their sect.

Over time, and through the passing down of diverging philosophies, the Scarlet Sect emerged, espousing different concepts of strength and skill. This resulted in the existence of two separate Ninja sects: the Scarlet Sect and the Shadow Sect. While the Scarlet Sect focuses on the use of various kinds of Ninja tools, the Shadow Sect focuses on harnessing the power of inner energy.

• Scarlet Shadow region is inspired of Japan.
• Its former name, Iga is named after the Iga Province which is now located in today part of western Mie Prefecture. The province is known to be the birthplaces of ninja clans of the Heian, Kamakura and Muromachi periods.
