Untargetability (also known as Invincibility or Invulnerability) is a state for heroes in which they cannot be locked onto or affected by the enemy's target-lock, auto-lock, and area of effect skills, gaining immunity to all types of damage and negative effects, particularly debuffs and crowd controls for a time.
With a few exceptions, effects that have already been applied, such as crowd controls and debuffs, are not removed or invalidated by untargetability.
Some heroes have direct access to untargetability while all heroes can access it by using Winter Crown.
Note that some allied abilities, and certain enemy abilities persist through Untargetability.
