• Winter Crown is a really good item against high burst damage heroes since you will become untargetable and invincible for 2 seconds.
• It also provides some adaptive attack, HP and cooldown reduction to avoid losing too much advantages.
• You can use this item's Active Skill while casting some skills, it won't be interrupted.
• Examples of Suitable Heroes:
  • Tanks: Alice, Franco, Terizla
  • Fighters: Guinevere, Silvanna, Yin
  • Assassins: Joy, Ling, Saber
  • Mages: Alice, Gord, Odette
  • Marksmen: Beatrix, Brody, Claude
  • Supports: Lolita, Chip, Minotaur

In late games, some heroes with very low cooldown and high mobility can utilize 2 seconds invincibility for their abilities to cooldown and escape: Lunox, Lancelot, Nolan

Notes

• You can't do anything during Winter Crown active skill.
• Some abilities will make you unable to cast Winter Crown, such as during Yu Zhong's Black Dragon Form, Nana's Monila's Gift Monila's Gift, Aurora's Pride of Ice, Kalea's Tsunami Slam,  Immortality
• You are immune to all damage and crowd control effects during the duration of its unique active skill.
  • However you are still affected by allied non-target abilities, such as Floryn's Bloom or Luo Yi's Diversion
• The passive cooldown is bound to the hero, so re-buying item doesn't reset its cooldown.
• The cooldown can be reduced by Pull Yourself Together.

Tips

• Be careful during Winter Crown active skill. Three or more enemies might stop attacking you for 2 seconds and pre-empt their crowd control while you're freezing on immune before attacking you without your allies. Request backup by tapping the "Gather" button immediately and wait for your teammates before you get slain.

• If you are fast enough, prepare Winter Crown as an extra item before the match, and sell Immortality to buy Winter Crown for 4 seconds of invincibility.
